A postcard from Christmas island

A beautiful postcard showing birds of Christmas island: Java Sparrow, Christmas Island Goshawk and Christmas island White-Eye. The last two birds are endemic of the island.

Christmas island is a territory of Australia in the Indian Ocean, composed solely of that island. It has a population of about 2,000 residents. The island's geographic isolation and history of minimal human disturbance has led to a high level of endemism among its flora and fauna, which is of interest to scientists and naturalists

This postcard was sent by David during his trip to Christmas island in February 2015. You can see his blog here: http://postcardsandtravel.blogspot.com

Thank you so much, David!
