A postcard from Christmas island

A beautiful postcard showing birds of Christmas island: Java Sparrow, Christmas Island Goshawk and Christmas island White-Eye. The last two birds are endemic of the island.

Christmas island is a territory of Australia in the Indian Ocean, composed solely of that island. It has a population of about 2,000 residents. The island's geographic isolation and history of minimal human disturbance has led to a high level of endemism among its flora and fauna, which is of interest to scientists and naturalists
