View to the Pitons from Soufriere town, St.Lucia (UNESCO 1161)










Soufrière is a town on the West Coast of Saint Lucia island (population is app. 8,000). Originally founded by the French it was the original capital of the island. The town is situated very close to the Pitons, two giant volcanic plugs which are a UNESCO World Heritage Site [source: Wikipedia]
