Autumn in Arrowtown, New Zealand










 
Autumn in Arrowtown, a a historic gold mining town in the Otago region of the South Island of New Zealand. During the high point of the gold rush the population of Arrowtown rose to over 7,000. Nowadays only around 2,000 people live in the town. The town is famous for its many well preserved buildings dating from the gold mining days of the town [source: Wikipedia]

One of the stamps shows the same street as in the postcard but during the summer.
