Cicada from Provence, France


























The name "cicada" is a direct derivation of the Latin cicada, meaning "tree cricket". Different types of this insect can be found in all the continents.
In France the cicada lives in the southern areas as well as in Alsace and Paris Basin. It is used to represent the folklore of Provence and Mediterranean cities.
