Zanzibar (from Arabic "Coast of Blacks") is a semi-autonomous part of Tanzania, an archipelago laying off the Tanzanian coast and consisting of Zanzibar Island, Pemba Island and many smaller islands. Zanzibar island itself is app. 90 km long and 30 km wide. Population: 1.3 mln people.

Sent by myself during my trip to Zanzibar in 2010
