Hamar woman from Ethiopia

Hamar tribe is an indigenous group of people living in south-western Ethiopia, in Omo river valley. There are around 45,000 people in this ethnic group. They are pastoral and highly depend on their cattle.
What is interesting about this postcard: I sent it during my trip to Ethiopia in 2009 but the stamp on it is dated as of 2002. In Ethiopia they use Ethiopian calendar, which is seven years and three months behind the Gregorian calendar.
