A girl wearing the caleche from St. Barthelemy

A young girl wearing a caleche, the tradition hat in St. Barthelemy.
St. Barthelemy is a small island, overseas collectivity of France in the Caribbean Sea (population app. 9,000 people). It is the only Caribbean island which was a Swedish colony for any significant length of time (in 18-19 cent.) and a Swedish culture is still paling a major part in the island traditions.
